Midland Donates CB Radios to US Army Transportation Company in Iraq
Kansas City, MO - Midland Radio Corporation, a pioneer in two way communications, donated 25 CB radios to US Army 1450th Transportation Company in Iraq. The donation ensures that each vehicle in the supply convoy is now able to maintain 2-way communication in the harsh desert conditions of Kuwait and Iraq and conduct supply missions in safety.
"As you might imagine, communication is essential out on the road and given we do not have enough secure radios for each truck, the CBs become our most used and most valuable form of communication. Having a CB in each truck has helped keep our soldiers safe and helps us pass along vital information during enemy encounters of breakdowns," said 1st Lt. Jared Rorrer. Midland 77-250CXL mobile CB radios provide clear vehicle-to-vehicle communication for the transportation company as they deliver critical troop supplies from Kuwait to soldiers in Iraq.
The 77-250CXL is one tough customer, built to work well in trucks, campers, RVs and off-road vehicles. Easy-to-reach controls like squelch, frequency selection, RF Gain and ANL provide hassle-free over-the-road communication. Instant Channel 9/19 switch for quick emergency access; ESP™ 2 Noise Killer effectively removes annoying background noise and the quick-disconnect power cord provides effortless transfer between vehicles.
Midland Radio Corporation is the first US manufacturer of CB radios, the first to introduce FRS radio and the first to break the 12-mile barrier with its GXT400 in early 2004. Midland is also a leading manufacturer of weather / all hazard alert radios, marine and a wide range of professional 2-way radios, base station/repeaters and RoIP applications.
